Wow. Magnus is such a big boy!

  • vygie // April 16, 2008 at 10:36 am

    Thanks Nicci and Jodi!

Katy, Magnus was over 10 pounds at birth. He now fits into size 18 month clothes. Strangely enough neither Dirk nor I are particularly big people and if he follows the pattern Marco has, he will be leveling out and become quite average in both height and weight. Both of them have rather short legs compared to the size of their torsos. Loren was also big at birth. With the PEG issues he was underweight for a long time. He started catching up by his first birthday. But he was much taller on average than his peers - with long limbs - and I think he may have become a tall adult. Taking after my maternal grandfather who was well over six feet tall.

    Dear Nelba

I just wanted you to know that I am very aware of what today is and am thinking of you. You have been in my thoughts a lot recently, from the other side of the southern hemisphere.

Anniversaries are hard. Its as simple, and as impossibly difficult, as that. Try and be gentle on yourself, and Dirk, on this day of days.

These are just my observations, after having survived two anniversaries of the worst day of my life. (Your experience may be very different of course.)

Here’s to you, and one amazing little boy who touched so many lives… Loren. We all miss you.

    Much love and cyberhugs, Susan

PS: Don’t be surprised if the children are out of sorts too - they are very perceptive to their parents emotions.

Mine is a tiny little thing, but my husband and I are quite short. We have to keep going up on clothes, though, because of his ever-increasing thigh size. He’s got a pair of little tree trunks that I tell anyone who will listen that he did NOT inherit from me. We’ve never been on the chart for height, but we always make it for weight. It must be the thighs.

I’ve been asked to tag six of my blogger friends so you’re one of my victims. PS the kitten and your sons are adorable. I love kitties :)

Here are the basic rules of this

*Link to the person who tagged you.
*Post the rules on your blog .
*Write six random things about yourself.
*Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
*Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment at their blog.
*Let your tagger know when your entry is up.

Susan, thanks for remembering. I really appreciate that.

Katy, unfortunately my children have inherited their thighs from me and no-one else…

Laura, thanks for the tag. I’ll respond as soon as possible.

    Dear Nelba

It is Mother’s Day here in Australia, I think in South Africa too…

Thinking of you today, and the year you have had. I hope it is a good day for you.

    Cyberhugs, Susan
